What our volunteers mean to us:
We value our volunteers so highly for the work that they do with our furry residents. Whether you enjoy walking the dogs or cuddling the cats, every little thing you do matters in the lives of these animals. Our staff works tirelessly to ensure all of the cats and dogs have everything they need, but we all wish we could spend more time loving on each and every one of them. That’s where you come in! Socializing the animals is one of the most vital parts of our operation. The more socialized an animal is, the higher chance they have of getting adopted.
How to volunteer at GHS:
If you would like to become a GHS volunteer, we would love to have you! Simply come into the facility to fill out the form and you will receive a short, 10-minute tour of our facility and guide you through the process of working with our animals. We’ll teach you how to leash up the dogs, proper puppy etiquette while you’re on the grounds, and how to handle our friendly felines in the safest way possible.
